The purpose of the Cherokee Community of Central California
Working with the Cherokee Nation is as follows:
• Learning and retaining the Cherokee Language, culture and history.
• Disseminating accurate information about present issues facing the Cherokee Nation and its
citizens.
• Acting as contact point for the At-Large Tribal Council representatives and their constituents.
Citizenship in the Cherokee Nation is not a requirement for membership in the CCCC nor is California
residency. All that is necessary is having a desire to learn more about the Cherokee people and their
heritage and wanting to participate in making the group a strong, healthy, and vital community.
Membership dues are $25.00 per year per family.
